If we talk about outside of China, in Australia the only one soon to reach the "finish line' is Lynas as far as I know.
In US there is Molycorp mentioned "which already processes about 3,000 metric tons of rare earths a year from stockpiled concentrate and could start producing new material as early as 2012. Shares of the Colorado-based company hit a high of $62.80 on Jan. 5, just five months after listing on the New York Stock Exchange at $13.25."
The articled I quoted from mentioned also Medallion Resources and it said Frontier Rare Earths is at the bottom of its list with an SP of C$3.25.
I am sure that there are more than a handful REEs companies in North America between Canada and US besides those 3 mentioned about. In another "old article report" alone I chanced by it mentioned "a list of 72 Canadian companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture market with potential REE properties".
It's anybody guess right now but Pakistan as a country is also now looking into exploring REEs. It was reported they have some high grade REEs spots in there.
I read somewhere that someone/company in Brazil are doing the same in that country.
God know who else and what countries are also still over-enthusiastically jumping into the REEs wagon all over the world.
As I mentioned in a previous post, the world demands for REEs will be on the increase but it is foreseeable for any and every Tom Dick and Harry of a company to go mining REEs just to hype up its SP?
What I am really interested in like most is in our own short list of REEs activities related companies in Australia. I found a list below. Interestingly, RMR is not in the list probably because RMR hasn't come out with a JORC yet with no 'exact" number "inferred" or said to be "contained".
Point of interest and contrast here between LYC and GGG. LYC is shown to have only "1,183,000t Contained" but ready to go. Whereas GGG is shown to have more than 4 times as much at "4,570,000t Contained" but without the greenlight yet to mine from the Greenland local gov.
LYC SP is at 1.92 and that of GGG is at around 1.20. (If, and God know when that if will be) GGG can start mining... I will let your imagination run wide here yourself, if you want.
But where does RMR stand in all this, right? Who really know, let's wait and see, shall we. At SP 2.2c today, I hope in 6 months time it will allow me and all you fellow shareholders to be "a" Lord of the rings and called it..."My Precious......"
