Its normal around the world to have to honor a yearly contract with telcos.
I've lived in Korea and Holland on a ten month work contract.
The phone contracts run for a year and it both cases I had to pay the extra two months. Posses me off but what can u do.
You sign a contract u have to honor it. Pretty simple. If there is no 'break' clause then its business.
