Gents,
before you spill into gushing about nickel prospects realize one very important thing--demand is low not just because of the economy, but because alternatives THAT ARE EVEN CHEAPER are being used where nickel once was.
Nickels in the slump for more than one reason.Just like tungsten is as a result of changing demand in incandescent light bulbs.Ask Heemskirk how much money they sunk into trying to get tungsten profitable, since sort of flicked off.
No point growing cattle if the only buyers are in Africa and can only pay you $5 a head, but would rather goats instead and really can only swap a couple of wives for it.
Poiseiden old site is rearing its head again. And that has an existing operation and funding ready to go,needing a 10kt a year concentrator. And there just happens to be a 18kton dormant concentrator plant not too far away, tied in with an old gold plant, long forgotten?. Maybe not.
You certainly wouldn't need Shandong to build it if you could pick it up for a million or two,or even less.
You would be better off gushing about 7km of copper strike at Laverton,The Curry resource, starting beneath the admiral pit and heading off with gold pods throughout.Historic drill results of up to 11% copper, give a hint as to its value, currently over $5k for copper a ton with gold contamination as a bonus.Admiral pit ore is currently unacceptable to Barrick because of high mercury levels and its copper content, making it worthless---unless
And that doesn't require Shandong either, just an extra circuit,or a bit of pre-leaching and even old grannie could handle it easilyIMHO.
DYOR+DYODD Plant is always cheap, when its what no-one wants.Ask Focus's neighbour MRP who paid $4.5mish for their silver mine and tenements in Koolgardie, that Reed originally paid .8m? for a year before.Whatever the figures were, they were chicken feed for both concerns.
