Equities will go lower until they are cheap to the extent that the value is so irresistible it balances out the prevailing market fear.
I think Aussie banks and big resource companies are about there - or perhaps a little overshot. Mid-cap producing resource companies are very much oversold and many represent unbelievable value already (look at CVN as an example - likely running a PE of 2-3 at POO $80, with production continuing to ramp up) - and once a confident bottom is established, commodity prices firm, and market sentiment improves they will soar.
In the meantime - tighten your seat belts we're going to the centre of the earth.
