I have been looking at 50% moves lately and 1 characteristic of bear markets seems to be that they often rally 50% from their lows, convincing punters along the way that the bear is dead. Typically he isn't, in fact he returns with attitude! :-) (Nowhere near as esoteric as Mr Russell's interpretation of 50% moves but then I am a simple soul with simple ideas.)
My 50% point for Dow is 12950, Nas 2515, S&P500 1420, and Dow Trannies 4790. So far the DT's have pushed well through. which is undeniably bullish but the other majors have still to prove.
My grab-bag of secondary US indicators gave its most bullish signal for the year on Wednesday, but was flat after Fridays close (still bullish but no more so).
