Well unfortunately KBJ with overpopulation comes regional food scarcity and regional energy scarcity. The world as it is being run now will not continue like this for much longer.
Australia is/has throwing/n away it's industrial independence in order to make a few of those at the top of the tree even richer. Thereby we lay down our souls and the souls of our children in front of any wannabe invader
All we make here now is words (add that to great holes in the earth) Our defence forces are equiped with great people, but on a small scale. Our neighbours have the ability to crank up military hardware manufacturing massively. Our ability to do this has been sold and even if it wasn't we have next to no oil refining capacity left to fuel an army. Nearly all of our fuel is refined in Asia.
So I no longer see nukes as extreme, I see them as a last resort defensive measure as we won't have anything else soon.
