I was following the previous thread re. war etc. Some
excellent comments and viewpoints ...
Personally I can not see a peaceful resolution to this
situation. As Grant mentioned - I fully agree what he said - if SH is left where he is UN will keep playing cat
and mouse with SH and we will be no wiser. Weapon
inspectors will not find anything in Iraq and I doubt it
is beacuse SH do not have on going development in well hidden localities.
What comes to G.W's motives to start the war ...well,
call me what ever you like, but the election coming up
in November should be one. Republicans do not want to
lose any seats in the congress and a war would probably
serve as a 'good' excample of a leadership etc. for G.W.
What ever the motives the game has been going on too
long and SH is a great risk. I belive a militiray strike is
going to happen in the next month - as Grant mentioned. If SH is not removed, we are in the same
situation as we were during the cold war only the enemy
is wearing different cloathes.
Personally I do not want a war but I can not see a other
outcome. SH needs to be removed....
cheers
