Yeah mate, agreed on BPT not running significantly before christmas. I still think it will rebound a little by Christams as the charts suggest the end of bear run. Perhaps 1.45-1.48
re. Charts - I know what you mean. Charts are just a reflection on current sentiment. Despite this, I am finding them very useful. - particularly when you want to sell something. I have a head full of charting theory at the moment and trying to stuff more in ... getting more and more skilled but I am still quite juvenile. Fundamentals are still the bulwark of any decision making when it comes to shares IMHO.
re. Takeover - mmm haven't even seen a sniff about this. Market is to jittery at the moment.
re. BPT $1.60 by christmas- (in response to "FROM80")... maybe. In this market who knows ... but I don't see it trecking that high in the next couple of days.
re. today- another day with a sure footing. Even a sp rise last time I checked (@1.41).
re. Indian Ocean today - no swell. AARGGHHH
