I would bet London to a brick it is the same McLaren but I said what I know before. I don't know if he is quoting Gann all I know is where and how I learned that principle.
I'm too lazy to check that book (I have it here too). It has some of Gann's notes copied at the back. It might be among those copied note I guess?
