More like the Duttonator will implode what's remaining of the liberal Party.
I had hoped that the liberals would rise again as a more representative Party but under their new leadership no chance that happening. In any event with less than 60 MPs in the Reps and that includes all the Nationals they will be irrelevant in terms of the passage of legislation.
In the previous Parliament Labor in Opposition on its own had 69 MPs.
A drawback for the Liberals is that in government Labor will be entitled to some 400 staffers whereas the Coalition will drop to about 80. The impact in advantage will be huge.
A lot of liberal staffers will have lost their jobs because their MP bosses were kicked out and because in Opposition they are entitled to less staff.
The average salaries of staffers is about $200,000 so it will be a kick in the teeth for the Liberal staffers that lost their jobs. Probably why some were likely posting like crazy here in support of their masters lol.
