g'day pogs ...
did a search on 'mandated surgical training' ... a great read hey? it pretty much sums up why PBI -- as a key RCS consultant on simulator training -- is in such a great position to capitalise on the UK push to update tarining .... this little stock is sitting on a cash cow.

Less time to train
Today’s surgical trainees have 40% less time to train than those undertaking training 10 years ago.
This is due to a combination of two legislative initiatives which, although positive, have put surgeons’ opportunities to undertake in-hospital training under severe pressure.
Firstly, the European Working Time Directive has mandated a shorter working week, placing more pressure on hospital trusts to balance service targets (waiting lists) with the training needs of consultants and junior doctors.
Secondly, the government’s Modernising Medical Careers initiative, which aims to streamline surgical careers, will halve the time for surgeons to train to be consultants.
Such changes profoundly impact upon surgeons at all stages of their career, from the trainee who relies on the expert guidance of consultants in hospitals, to senior surgeons who must refresh their skills to continue to offer the highest standards of training, and of patient care.
Our challenge is to make education and training even more accessible and efficient, and to make sure that our new courses - which will require new, hospital-equivalent facilities - complement hospital-based training.
