A few notes on your advice IMHO,
1/ Hindsight is difficult to use in trading as it happens after the event
2/ Selling for a loss may be required sometimes(but try to avoid it)
3/ When the info is confirmed it's usually too late
4/ Exactly, but again hindsight makes this seem easier.
