trying to very briefly summarise -
its all steady as you go -
* interest rates look like remaining as they are for some time yet..
* economic growth has been strong over the past 6 months, but he expects this to reduce very slightly as the future figures for exports become more contained. ....
* consumer confidence is steady - I put a ???? against that - ABS retailing figures and recent news does not suggest this....
* inflation looks to be well contained with pressures on businesses and workers to reduce costs.
* employment - appears to be no concern either way..
* the world economies are going ok. on average with some of the more advanced economies doing better and others doing worse....
