I saw a US report yesterday about the Obama Administration's latest scheme to cleanse bank balance sheets of toxic assets. It showed Obama walking through the White House Lawns with another bloke. The report made no reference to him. It was Kev (from Queensland). This recession is now looking like being much shallower than previously feared. The scheme mentioned above was well received in the US and there are new signs of life in the US housing industry (ground zero). Its a shame we pannicked and p*ssed our accumulated surpluses up against the wall. Oh well, maybe there is another mining boom around the corner.
