So it is not really fair then to compare small private schools with public ones as they have a different make-up of students ? My local public school (Qld) introduced a no tolerance policy last year and have been enforcing it. A lot of students have been suspended and the good kids are learning more. I don't know if anyone has been expelled, only that the instant suspension for bad behaviour and being sent home seems to be working. Dave R.
