There is no denying that the events currently going on in Japan...

There is no denying that the events currently going on in Japan are tragic in the extreme. Over ten thousand people tragically lost to the tsunami, and the escalating tragedy of the potential Nuclear Meltdown in northern Japan.

The elephant in the room is that the world need to look at alternative sources of energy and safe methods of generating the energy of which EVM is the best and most cost effective technical solution that I am aware of.

The problem in Japan for a Solar Tower solution compared to Australia or the US is obviously the lack of space and sunlight. I can't see a cost effective long term solution other than transporting battery power generated from Aust to Japan in huge Lithium batteries.

But for other countries considering nuclear, the EVM alternative will be much more attractive.

As I said at the start of the post, the event in Japan are absolutely tragic, but the elephant in the room is that EVM is an economically realistic solution and the failing of nuclear as a solution to CO2 omissions can only be positive to EVM in the long term.

And once again I would like to emphasise that I really feel for the people (including friends I work with) in Japan.
