Correct me if I am wrong but those lakes are for holding the water used in treatment. It is contaminated.

NTL, if it were to pump water, would be pumping water that literally comes in from the river, back out to the river. The effect of the water discharge would be less than minor and not required to be stored as per the Waihi processing plant.

Having visited the Waihi site, and knowing how much water their enormous underground pumps push out, I think you'll find that their tailings dam would be overflowing all the time if they were pumping underground seepage into the tailings lake.

I love your optimism in scaring people but your newly minted opinions don't "hold water"
