The older flats from the sixties seem to be lasting quite well. Structurally sound and have larger room sizes. Some have period features eg deco styling.
The issue is that the Body corp fees aren't regulated and expenses keep climbing. I have a couple of older flats and have done quite well.
I wouldnt touch a high rise. Horrible ambiance, strangers and huge up keep.
