Yeah we all know the last few years HAVE been fantastic for property bulls.
I dont think anyone selling NOW in Melbourne or Sydney would be selling at a loss,

Property has a medium to long term investment timeframe, partly because of the
upfront costs involved when buying and then selling.
Does this example not partly prove the opposite to the point you are trying to make here.
Normally the best short term performance of any market is towards the end of the
run, when the prices can and often do go parabolic. Now I would say that could be at play
here, near 100% return in 15 months in very unusual in any property market, dont you agree?
The sale occurred a few weeks ago, lots of negative media and events have happened
since then, I reckon they may have timed their sale to a tee!
