the end of an era

Morning folks,

Today is the final day that Anvil Mining Ltd will be listed on the ASX.

From KKR Resources, to Anvil Mining NL, to Anvil Mining Ltd and a move to the TSX.

I have been involved with this company for such a long time now. It is sad to see Anvil disappear from the international market, but I am sure it will live on in the DRC with the people whose lives Anvil touched.

Personally it has been a great teacher about mining copper, NGO’s and the DRC. As an investment it has taught me about the importance of external threats and of good management. It has also made me a bit of money on the way. Over the years I have encouraged many people to buy into Anvil. For most it was their very first exposure to the stock market. I don't think it will be their last.

Everyone knows what a vital role Bill Turner and his team has played with the building of Anvil into the company it is today. I wish everyone at Anvil the very best in the future.

As I mentioned before there is a book that has been written about Anvil Mining. I'm sure we will hear shortly when it will be available. I hope this AVM forum won't disappear for a while on Hot Copper, so keep an eye on it for further details.

Finally thank you to all of the contributors to the Anvil Mining online forums. It’s been great community melting pot of thoughts, ideas, criticisms and discussions.
