The end of Facebook/Instagram?

Interesting things are unfolding at Meta (Facebook/Instagram)

They apparently have adopted AI to automatically review content on accounts (as opposed to relying on a "report an account" type feature.

The result? Countless accounts are getting picked up by the AI system for things like Child Sexual Exploitation etc when clearly no harm has been done.

Reading more about it, it seems that these legitimate accounts then have zero recourse to have their account restored as they end up talking to an AI bot that agrees with the AI decision, even though it is clearly and utterly wrong.

Meta may be the first company held liable for the use of its AI for defamation at this rate.

Facebook and Instagram are certainly going to lose customers and this could very well be the spark that drives the end of their reign.

Thoughts? Can Meta stop this before it is too late or has the horse bolted?
