IBS affects the large intestine. Signs and symptoms include cramping, abdominal pain, bloating, gas, diarrhea or constipation, or both, wildly obsessive thoughts, such as "the sky is falling in", and pathological hatred of views that appear indigestible.
IBS is a chronic condition that you'll need to manage long term.
Only a small number of people with IBS have severe signs and symptoms. Some people can control their symptoms by avoiding internet conspiracy theories, getting a life, and reducing stress. More-severe symptoms can be treated with medication and counseling.
IBS doesn't cause changes in bowel tissue or increase your risk of colorectal cancer, but the fear mongering and hate preaching may be permanent, and will give one the sh!ts for the rest of one's life, unless life-changing action is taken.
