If a ‘good’ Government set out its agenda and started to get on with it. The internet would show itself up to what it is. Garbage in, Garbage out. Same as all software.
The press, now how do you deal with that? Again, self indulged, targeted interests and a win at all costs. Would this prevail?
4 year terms would help. More time to Govern and plan properly. We actually lose a year of 3 in settling in and planning for the new election. Three year terms are pointless. Longer terms, with tangible results, would negate the bad press somewhat.
I would like a set of candidates to go into an election with some of the agenda I spoke about above. But they just don’t. There is no long term objectives. These things don’t happen overnight. Again, a longer term would help.
And around we go again. At least ALP is trying something. Albeit lower level stuff, but if they use that for the foundation of doing more, and state they are going to do it. Game on!
Also what would help is that all Pollies are seen not to be under influence of corrupted interests. That needs to go. They are or seem to be on the take.
