I agree with most there bb..... but money should not be going to parties, rather to candidates and all candidates receiving the same amount.
it needs to be a level playing field in every electorate.
parties have a significant advantage over independents. this is what needs to be addressed.
and I would add that all printing should go through a parliamentary printing service, including those horrible plastic signs, with limits on quantity and materials used. advertising could be put to AEC for approval and the AEC allocate for non-combative placement of ads. attack ads and dishonest ads banned.
