    Long bow drawn there. Citing a situation in the USA lol.

    There will always be unions in democratic societies.

    Only totalitarian despotic regimes wont allow or have unions.

    Unions are just a collective of employees that engage people to work for them in their interests.

    Unfortunately just like some corporations and their shareholders
    they don't always act in their members best interests.

    Police unions, Teachers unions, Health workers unions, Emergency workers unions etc will always exist because members are switched on enough to realise if they don't have some negotiating clout they will be taken advantage of and run over by employers that may be unscrupulous.

    The end of unions. What nonsense.

    If it were to happen it would mean you would be living under the heels of some totalitarian regime because they would forcefully crush union participation as has occurred in some South American countries and elsewhere. No thanks, surely you are not suggesting that's what abbott wants here because if it does he will be unceremoniously shown the back door just as John Howard was over WorkChoices.
