(Proverbs 22:6) Train a boy in the way he should go; Even when he grows old he will not depart from it.
That should read: Indoctrinate a child before he/she is seven, and you have a prisoner to your doctrine for the rest of his/her life.
OK, some are even indoctrinated after reaching the age of seven, but the fact that the task of indoctrination before the child reaches the age of seven is an easier one is well understood by religious nuts.
Some also have the strength to overcome the indoctrination.
