(Proverbs 4:18) But the path of the righteous is like the bright morning light That grows brighter and brighter until full daylight. “And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, a sixth day.” (Ge 1:31) This statement is not made regarding the seventh day, on which God proceeded to rest, indicating that it continued. (Genesis 2:1-3) Thus the heavens and the earth and everything in them were completed. And by the seventh day, God had completed the work that he had been doing, and he began to rest on the seventh day from all his work that he had been doing. And God went on to bless the seventh day and to declare it sacred, for on it God has been resting from all the work that he has created, all that he purposed to make. The ''night'' will soon pass its darkest point at Armageddon after which a beautiful new day will dawn.“God proceeded to bless the seventh day and make it sacred.” -- Gen 2:3 .This was a guarantee that no matter what unforeseen problems might arise, God’s purpose would unfailingly come true by the end of his rest day.

Apologetics, an attempt at reconciling what the bible says in order to conform what we now know about the world, it's age and how long there has been life on earth. The ancient writers had no such knowledge, they really believed in magical creation, that God really took the dust of the earth and formed a man. They did not believe in long periods, billions of years of evolution, they believed in divine creation.....which is not natural evolution.
