    I agree corporations are moving beyond nationalism, but nationalism is moving beyond globalisation because the national interests of western countries are now becoming threatened by globalisation.

    It's not in the interests of the US or other western countries to have their good well-paying jobs siphoned off by international corporations to emerging countries. It depletes their economies and their tax base. What was temporarily in these countries interests is turning sour. No western country can expect to maintain its privileged powerful status while trade policies favour the free movement of large enterprises around the globe. This also is a reason why governments focus more and rely more on small business which is less globally mobile.

    Make no mistake, the policies accepted as essential for so long will end up destroying the advantage of western countries. One more example of concepts pushed by interest groups and "thinktanks" that end up biting us.
