Ive read many anecdotes where folks tell of the POTUS, on the fly, decided to declassify something or reclassify someone for the purposes of the discussions taking place at that moment
maybe that would be OK , not sure , IF it actually gets done and the POTUS is given assurances it WILL be done / HAS been done clearly in this case it wasn't done - cnjecture as to whether Trump gave an order for it - can't recall hin saying that except for the "standing order" bit which is just silly and not something any of his people have said they kbnew about anyway
bottom line ...these documents were still classified (legally , in fact , uncontestbly) ...also classification aside ....why did Trump have them when they are the business of the present administartion ??? classification aside , he still had no right to them or to be keepuing Biden from having the use of them .
One thing has been accomplished already ...the correct owners/ users of those documents have them available to them which wasn't the case when Trump was hoarding them ,.
