Surely your not serious Jolly.The US has the worlds reserve currency which other countries hold as part of the empire deal.Empires are not built by warfare these days but by more subtle means;subverting the economies of other countries if they do not support the US policies has been carried out for half a century.The evil axis,as Bush describes them,are countries that have not been subverted......yet.The interesting part of history now is how the US itself is being subverted from within,as was the Roman Empire.The $US dollar,like the Spanish gold supply is also under threat.Australia as a side player in the empire can only stand by and watch as the 'captain' makes some difficult decisions.
