I think what you say makes sense,amongst all the conflicting voices it's hard to form an unbiased opinion.
As I look at my own position and being aware that all the "facts" don't fall on one side,a choice needs to be made on the basis of the balance and probability of "truth".
I think you have that pretty right. If there is conflict let's hope there is a minimum of suffering on both sides.
