Ukraine tells us that most people would to prefer to lose everything (and perhaps die) than live under the yoke of a Putinist puppet dictatorship.

The Uzbekistan uprising reminds me the Euromaiden uprising and what happened to Eastern Europe and the collapse of the Soviet Union 30 - 35 years ago.

My expectation is that Putinism will fall like Soviet Communism fell. It may not happen overnight but fall it will.

The most likely way to make that happen is sanctions that actually bite.

Intolerably difficult lives will build dissent.
