When I studied economic and political systems years ago I learnt that socialism returned the profits to the people... but I never learnt that capitialism returned the losses to the people!! So it looks like modern American capitialism privitises the profits and socialises the losses. Not very sustainable really...so cross your fingers for a smarter US administration post election!!
