From a suppression perspective, WA is gold standard. Not in question.
But no one believes it can remain an island.

So what does April achieve?
How does that benefit LYC, and all of the other major primary producers?

The sooner WA, and the rest of the country get over the obsession with making fully vaccinated people with essentially cold symptoms self isolate, and closing down industries in the interim, the better.
As you said, spread is unbelievable. Literally 90% of Aus is double vaxxed. Who is this spreading amongst?
Hint: Vaccination does not stop transmission.

My fear is Mark has been crusading against everyone else in Aus for so long, when he changes tact, which he will need to, no one will be on the same page.
My worry is that in the ensuing confusion, it will unnecessarily effect industry in WA, which includes LYC.

Your "crook for 4-10 days" is also not based in fact.
In other places, 7 days after a positive RAT, you can return to work.
Omicron lasts around 3 days at worst.

My point is not a personal attack.
But a realistic consideration of what will occur when WA border opens, and what will occur when the suppression measures implemented over the past 2 years are properly relaxed, and whether that will occur before business is disrupted.
Looking at the east, that hasn't sorted itself out yet.
So I raise this issue regarding WA industries, which includes LYC, whom i hold.
