if you held since 2009 then you suffered a 99% decrease in value plus had money tied up that could have been in use in a very exciting market from then to now. You are still at half your 2011 value. So what did you learn from that? Are you going to hold again? Or are you going to sell some so you can buy more back in the troth.
It totally amazes me that people are proud of holding through the drop from 2011 to 2016. I have held through some big loses. I learned from them and now understand why all the books say avoid big loses. Regardless if paper or real.
Learn from your mistakes! don't try to turn them into some sort of red badge of courage.
