    Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell." - Matt 10:28

    Here we have a recognition of the natural immortality of the soul, which cannot be killed by men; and of the mortality of the body which may be killed: whence we learn that the resurrection of the dead is a resurrection of the flesh; for, unless it were raised again, it would be impossible for the flesh to be "killed in hell."

    Romans 13:7 Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor, this verse goes with Matt 10:28

    Much of the bible verses seems to contradict each other, but there is no contradiction, as it depends what points the author wanted to make and sometimes they only pick part of any point and goes into details.
    One has to know the whole picture before anything else.
