It's not a Ploy. Your accusation is a ploy.
I did nothing more than quote verses that say what they say and mean what they mean, without attempting to rationalize or offer an interpretation of my own.
And considering what they say about the conditions for salvation and the consequences for non-compliance, it is you as a believer who needs to consider how they fit into the big picture without trying to ignore, alter or rationalize away their meaning.
As it stands, these verses (and much more) are a problem for the belief that the bible is the inspired word of a God of Love.
