    GFC2 might be more a function of natural catastrophes than anything else.

    Japan's crippling disaster could very well result in the ruining of one of the largest economies for years to come. The combination of lost economic production, reconstruction costs and INSURANCE payouts could send ripples across the globe.

    Recent stresses on the insurance and reinsurance industries must be taking a toll. Recent major disasters include -

    Japan
    Christchurch
    Chile
    Haiti
    Brisbane
    Victoria (flood and fire)
    Nth Queensland Yasi
