Another asylum seeker boat carrying about 100 people has arrived as Christmas Island this afternoon.
The large wooden boat was escorted by the Navy into Flying Fish Cove just after 12:30 local time.
The boat has anchored about 150m offshore in the cove, it is believed there are about 100 asylum seekers on board.
Early this afternoon customs and police were preparing to bring those on board onto the island.
It is believed the boat sailed very close to Christmas Island before being intercepted about six nautical miles away.
