The 800 target will be hit very quickly at this rate. No doubt the smugglers are providing a discount so that the 800 figure passes very soon. Then they are home free.
All that our wonderful govt has achieved is that they have locked in additional 4000 arrivals over and above the number that was going to happen anyway. On top of that we have all the extra costs involved.
The boat arrivals will just increase now as the smugglers see that the govt hasnt a clue about how to deal with the border issue.
