re: why this gap will be filled. scan results why don't you run an exploration for other stocks with a similar setup to Friday?

i ran a scan this evening for other examples of liquid ASX small-cap stocks which matched these criteria in the past twelve months :

- set a new 90day High in price AND volume
- with an average daily volume > 250,000
- which Gapped up more than 2 x ATR,
- on volume five or more times greater than the average
- and where price closed in the lower half of the days range

want to guess the results?

in the days that followed, in each case the gap was closed BEFORE the high was re-tested

i'm now broadening the scan criteria to examine high-volume days in general, looking for relationships between all of these variables. Will let you know what i discover.
