I asked the CEO some time back if a BP could go straight into P2 cancer trials if one was to buy out PAA at some time in the future. Response below.
Great question. There is a chance they would but BP is more likely to take a conservative approach and conduct a Phase1b study given funding is not normally an issue for BP. Cancer studies and even studies in other neurodegenerative disease are moving more towards adaptive designs with go - no go interim endpoints. For example we are currently investigating the best study design for our next MND study and that will likely be a phase2/3 adaptive design.Thanks for your support.Michael
