I'll just add:
I'm personally holding strong until ODD announcement - All this conjecture about the circumstances / timeline of the passing of one of the patients again misses the point that it was a phase 1 trial to test for safety / tolerability. It was never powered for efficacy, yet 11 of the 12 patients are alive with statistical and bio marker data indicating the remarkable efficacy of MPL?
If MPL had shown middling / borderline results, I'd be quite dismissive of a potential deal at ODD announcement because BP would surely sit back and wait? But what if it ends up the Healey platform and shows the globe how effective MPL is for treating ALS / MND? That would surely commend a significantly greater premium, than if acquired prior?
All hypothetical, but if I was the CEO wanting to take MPL to the world and put in the effort to promote, only for the Board to decide to sell prior to any confirmatory trials, I'd be pretty upset...Just some thoughts - IMHO DYOR
