Howdy NZT. Unfortunately very true. This seems like a replay of the gripes we have had in the past relating to poor messaging - great science is most often let down by poor strategic planning and poor messaging.

It is fair to say no-one can or should be directly expected to unduly cause a stock to change price. That is clearly the markets job. It is however the job of the BoD and management to prepare and lay the groundwork for the market to make an informed decision on where the value of the business should travel and it is clearly the responsibility (as stated in the first para of the Corp Governance statement on the Company website) for "the Board to represent and advance Shareholders’ interests and to protect the interests of all stakeholders." By any account yesterday was a monumental failure to deliver on that responsibility - not because of the resultant price shift but post such a great job of build up and delivery of excellent trial outcomes, the less than effective prosecution of ensuring the market at large was at least made aware of these (some would claim) pivotal developments in trial outcomes . I say again, no-one could or should be responsible for the resultant outcome - assuming it can be said the market had been effectively made aware. Unfortunately that was not the case so now the game of catch-up is being played. I believe the following gif pretty much demonstrates the scenario - great idea, involving stakeholders but negative outcome - very difficult to mend a broken balloon and more difficult to get stakeholders to join in next time !

Lets hope it really is lesson learned and that PAA can move on with outcomes that better reflect the very promising science and reward the effort of developing same. All personal opinion from a long term advocate. GLTAH
