Shares in a US listco are possible but would probably need to be issued though your broker or one in the US e.g Charles Schwab. Once issued certain tax forms would also then need to be issued to ensure you were not taxed as a US citizen or tax resident. I do had some shares in US companies so it's not a deal breaker.
NABtrade do provide for the holding and trading of foreign equities.
