I enquired on the investor forum as to whether the company would be able to retain ownership of the MPL analogues for future research in the event of a deal but it seems they'll be sold as part of the asset as it would be difficult to carve out a subset of the compound to exclude from a deal. I think that makes it all the more important that solid data is obtained for the efficacy of MPL against as wide a range of conditions as possible. They're only going to be able to sell it once, best to make it a deal so valuable that bards recount the endeavor in song for all time.
