My thoughts re any manipulation:
Most "manipulation" in a low volume stock like PAA is usually brokers putting in small orders to keep things moving, or pros testing supply/demand across price levels - nothing significant.
IMO there simply isnt enough value being traded in PAA to make a worthwhile amount of money for manipulators, unless of course someone is accumulating/selling out over a long timespan- the volumes (and top 20 list) suggest accumulation if anything, which is a good thing for the LT holder, but again is a lot of work for little reward.
The only other "manipulation" that would be feasable would be someone buying low and driving the price up to sell at the highs- there might have been a bit of this going on, but one would have expected the SP to come back faster than it has. The big buys that were coming through in the heat of the recent sp increase also suggest that something more genuine is at play.
