I said, I do believe this appointment comes at a timely manner and seems like it was a pre-requisite for the Gov in order for PEP-11 to be signed off. He said you seem to have a good handle of things. I also said, I can’t see you spending all this money upfront, not knowing whether the ministers would approve first. He said your all over it! So I said, what is the hold up with approval, then? Everything is lined up perfectly now, the motion to stop Pep-11 has been thrown out of parliament, Peter Cook has been appointed, JB said over 3 weeks ago he had big news for NSW... he said I don’t like JB’s timetable on that. Hmmmmm. (Didn’t like that) So I said, does this mean we are looking like next year for an approval then? He said no, I didn’t say that, I’m saying it’s all very political with oppositions/ greenies making noise, JB still has to deal with the backlash of the approval.
I said so what better time than to sign off right before end of the year let the heat die down and deal with the aftermath and resume in the new year. He giggled and said your smart and all over this. I said will this be a VERY MERRY XMAS? Or just a merry Xmas? He said I think you know the answer to that. He said when the government is spruiking a gas led economy and we have to look outside our State for gas , we have no choice. The government has no choice.
