It’s been said before many many times on the BPH threads
why 3D seismic is not being done.

Some posters choose to ignore it.
Some because they are too stupid to understand anything and object to everything.

And some, like heman,
who I'm sure does understand why 3D is not being done.
Other than s*** stirring
he contributes nothing.
Yet he keeps going on about doing 3D
WHY?

So to repeat for anyone who hasn’t seen my earlier posts on 3D/ 2D

A summary;

If they attempted to do 3D seismic,
there would be massive objections from the greens et al
on the basis that 3D damages marine life, like whales dolphins etc as it interferes with their hearing/navigation.
To satisfy the greens and enable the well to be drilled
in 2010 the well was drilled on 2D

And back then there were no environmental concerns at all
when the well was drilled.

So there is no basis for objections this time.

Other places in the world do not permit 3D seismic for the reason stated above.
2D seismic is conducted to define targets.
And many success producing wells drilled as a result.

IF BPH SAID THEY WANTED TO DO 3D
THE OBJECTIONS AND PROTESTS WOULD GO ON AND ON,
AND WOULD DELAY PEP11 BEING DRILLED
FOR MANY MANY YEARS.

OR MOST LIKELY PREVENT IT BEING DRILLED EVER
