Differentiate between needs and wants the locals don’t want it on their doorstep but they need it the gas.
Look at the base load power options coal is less desirable than gas and then there is Nuclear itself a problem.
Coal needs to be phased out. Renewables and gas is the way forward.
If the drill hits economic gas the platform will be on the seafloor you won’t even know it’s their.
